Job Description Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a Lead Healthcare Business Analyst / Product Owner (PO) with Healthcare (payer and/or provider) experience. Job Overview: The role of the Lead Healthcare Business Analyst/Product Owner (PO) is reserved for individuals who are passionate about identifying and delivering the right business solution for each client. Our Senior Business Analysts/POs have a keen business orientation with an industry understanding of how technology can be effectively applied to meet a variety of healthcare business needs. Our Lead Healthcare Business Analyst/PO fills several different roles on our project teams, working with hospitals, health plans, and similar organizations to develop customer-centric digital solutions, leveraging a variety of business processes and technologies. The specific responsibilities vary for each client and each project. Key to the success of our Lead Healthcare Business Analyst/PO is the willingness and desire to quickly learn the client’s business, the unique requirements of each engagement and to fill whatever role may be required to best support our client’s needs. A Lead Healthcare Business Analyst/PO has a passion for driving vision and strategy and thrives in challenging environments and accomplishes difficult assignments without significant supervision and instruction. Our Lead Business Analysts/POs can handle the stress of being accountable for supporting delivery and: complete goals on time, practice strong attention to detail, persevere through tough obstacles, and does not get easily discouraged. The Lead Healthcare Business Analyst/PO is a key delivery point of contact and will be involved in supporting the strategic planning of an engagement or helping the client make decisions about their future business objectives. The Lead Healthcare Business Analyst/PO works directly with the entire project team and assists with daily operations exercising time management, communication, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment to ensure the successful delivery of projects. The Lead Healthcare Business Analyst/PO will interface with Perficient leadership, technical and business delivery personnel, as well as vendors and customers on a regular basis. Responsibilities Work with clients and end-users across the organization, to gather, understand, synthesize, prioritize, and define business/product requirements, leveraging healthcare experience and best-practice methods and collaborating and seeking guidance from stakeholder and Product Mangers. Create documentation to support the design and development of solutions, such as, but not limited to, user stories, business/product requirements documents (BRD/PRD), functional and non-functional specifications and documentation (FRD), acceptance criteria, product roadmaps, and to-be process flows and traceability matrices, meeting notes, gap analysis, etc. Serve as the expert on industry/business and user requirements. Lead requirements sessions with the client/business and seek client approval for defined requirements/stories/solutions/products. Define acceptance criteria and conduct acceptance testing to ensure delivered features meet requirements. Works closely with engineering/development and design teams to bring the product to market, ensuring delivery of high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly solutions. Facilitate and participate in internal development team’s quality reviews of requirements to ensure they are complete, consistent, comprehensible, feasible, and conform to standards and align with client business objectives. Drive/assist the development of business strategies, as appropriate, to guide clients and inform requirements. As deemed appropriate, will lead product demos – both sprint demos and demos during requirements gathering to facilitate ongoing progress conversations with the client/stakeholders and allow clients/stakeholders to react to progress to date and make mid-course corrections as needed. Provide/support healthcare thought leadership, best practices, and innovation within projects and across practice areas, by asking “have you thought about this?” questions to unlock opportunities to expand internal and client’s strategies. Participate in key meetings with clients including stand-ups, iteration planning, sprint demos, and user acceptance testing review meetings to provide updates, address questions, and remove impediments. Provide project management support as needed (e.g., contribution to status reports, Agile ceremonies, resource management and overall project tracking) Manage conflict resolutions both transparently and proactively by continually informing manager, team, and client of progress, issues, and concerns Provide leadership throughout the lifecycles of a product, guiding the understanding of the project team through design and development. Qualifications These are the minimum qualifications required for someone to be considered for this position. Qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree. Advanced degree desired, ideally in healthcare and/or healthcare technology related field 3+ years of professional business analysis/product management experience, with focus on healthcare technology solutions. 3+ years of knowledge with Web/Mobile App product management including integrations with external sites. 3+ years of knowledge and experience working with Digital / CX solutions. Agile scrum experience that includes expert skills in development of user stories, Jira and Confluence management. Minimum 1-2 years of consulting industry experience working with external clients. Experience serving as a bridge between business team members and technical team members and be comfortable translating between the two. Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly ramp up on new clients, their business needs, and technologies. Agile scrum experience that includes collaboration tools such as JIRA, Azure Dev Ops, etc. Scrum or Product Owner certification. Ability to travel to assigned clients and internal meetings is required, but also able to effectively work remote Healthcare industry experience in the provider and/or payer domain. Strong relationship management, and support experience. Experience soliciting, gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing user input and requirements. Experience collaborating with business stakeholders – clinical, operational, technical, financial, etc. Strong executive-level client facing skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts with confidence to a non-technical executive audience. Analytical problem solving, project management, effective written and verbal communication, strong presentation skills, and strategic insight. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Microsoft Vision and Project skills a plus. Must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining focus on key goals. An innate ability to identify digital trends, predict their impact, and preemptively provide strategic solutions for clients. Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks within a collaborative team environment. Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done. Preferred skills and education: Master’s Degree Project management experience Consumer Websites, Portal Experience (brokers, employers, providers, patients, pharmaceutical, payers, insurers, etc.), Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM), Marketing Automation and Marketing Analytics background. Strong experience with campaign analytics, web content delivery, and/or find a doctor integration Working knowledge of common industry platforms such as, Salesforce, Sitecore, Adobe, etc.. The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $64,974 to $149,880.
