Job Responsibilities As a Junior Software Engineer in QA you will be responsible for software testing and QA processes through all phases of the software development life cycle within multiple product lines. You will work with cross-functional teams to provide quality assurance during development and execution phases. Some specific responsibilities include… Analyze functional requirements, business rules and use cases. Create test cases and test plans for usability and quality assurance of web and desktop applications. Develop and execute automated tests, testing tools and processes. Develop and QA Crystal Reports. Log and track software issues and defects. Configure and maintain test/QA servers. Perform data validation/verification on backend systems. Strain applications with a barrage of automated and manual tests that will ensure a quality product. The ability to study software code changes (to better understand the QA impact) is a plus. Skills and Qualifications Some basic software development and IT knowledge in any form Experience with SQL queries for backend data validation and developing Crystal Reports is a plus but not required. Education and Experience B.S. in Computer Science or related technical field is a plus but not required. 1 to 2 years of experience performing software quality assurance or development is a plus but not required. Job Location This position is mostly remote, with occasional meetings in the Brea, CA office. Compensation The starting base salary for this position is expected to be between $17 to $25 per hour. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
