78874BR Job Summary We are on the lookout for a dedicated and competent Digital Accessibility Analyst to enhance the accessibility of UCSF’s websites and web applications. In this role, you will be a key advocate for accessibility, ensuring our digital content, platforms, and tools are inclusive for users with disabilities, meeting WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) standards. Identify the difficulties and obstacles faced by individuals with disabilities (e.g., low vision, cognitive, mobile/touch) when interacting with UCSF websites, web applications, and online content. Collaborate with diverse teams to spot and remove accessibility obstacles in digital content and user interfaces. Conduct tests on websites and web applications using various screen reader navigation methods, such as heading or landmark navigation, common user coping strategies, user-preferred methods compared to website-specific methods, and keyboard usage instead of a mouse. Implement and evaluate tests for accessibility and usability. Assess and advise on the accessibility of software, websites, video content, applications, and other information communication technologies (ICTs), and assist with vendor product reviews and end-user acceptance testing. Suggest remediation solutions, such as adding keyboard support, compliant captions, transcripts, and audio descriptions to video content. Carry out administrative tasks for the Siteimprove accessibility monitoring tool. Review and modify UCSF digital accessibility website content, best practices, and resource links within a Content Management System (CMS). Assist in planning and organizing monthly Digital Accessibility Advisory Committee meetings and learn to facilitate engagement for virtual meetings. Assist with promoting, communicating, and supporting monthly Digital Accessibility engagement events for the UCSF and University of California community.
