The Role

Clarksons Digital is seeking a new Engineering Manager to help build and manage teams to deliver a variety of software to both Broking and Non-Broking sides of the business.

The role of an Engineering Manager at Clarksons Digital requires a diverse skill set and a combination of technical expertise, leadership qualities, and interpersonal skills.

  • Team Oversight: Manage and oversee two delivery teams, comprising developers, QA Engineers, and SDETS.
  • Team Building & Maintenance: Build and nurture high-performing teams that consistently deliver quality software and continually improve.
  • Support & Collaboration: Act as a liaison between engineering and product teams, aiding in process improvements and issue resolution for efficient delivery.
  • Multi-Functional Teams: Manage multi-functional teams working on various products, architectures, and solutions.
  • Location & Collaboration: Potential requirement to manage teams across multiple offices and countries, with the flexibility of being Poland-based and able to travel to London when necessary.

  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to aid teams in their delivery processes.
  • Balanced Approach: Pragmatic delivery approach that balances business and technical needs.
  • Prioritization: Ability to manage and prioritize workload across multiple projects and teams.

Desirable:

  • Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of various agile methodologies.
  • Lifecycle Experience: Working experience with applications at all stages of their lifecycle.
  • Delegation Skills: Ability to discern when to delegate and when to provide direct guidance.
  • People Management: Prior experience in hiring, performance management, and individual career development.
