We believe in making a difference every day. We offer performance- based bonuses. The Position: Getac is searching for a Solutions Architect located in the Southeast Region. This role involves actively driving and managing technology evaluations during the pre-sales process and providing comprehensive support post-sales. Essential Job Duties Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations. Responsible for representing the product to the customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, trades shows, etc. Responsible for timely, accurate and detailed communications and tracking of projects via internal systems. Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFQ’s and RFP’s. Able to travel throughout the regional sales territory and US. Able to travel internationally as required. Able to clearly communicate technical issues to our overseas engineering team. Manage escalations, customizations and communicate across all teams. Identify all technical issues of assigned customer accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Must be able to follow-up and use technical capabilities to support customer post-sales issues. Convey customer requirements to the Product Management team. Understanding the customer market needs by industry vertical and feedback to the R&D engineering teams. Requires travel 50 to 75% of the time. Manage time between the RSM’s in the territory by prioritizing customer needs. Must be an US or Naturalized Citizen for access to secure customer sites. Other Duties: Attend weekly evening conference calls with GTC R&D teams. Complete weekly reports. Complete weekly Sales Force entries as directed. Timely and accurate expense report submissions. Customer Engineering Customization process management. Experience & Education: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications such as MSCE are a plus. Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years in technical sales or field support, particularly within industries utilizing rugged computing solutions. Technical Mastery: Proficient in MS Windows and Android operating systems, GPS technology, and 4G/5G networks. Practical knowledge of MDT/SCCM and familiarity with current Windows environments. Experience with hardware and software troubleshooting, including laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. Certifications: CompTIA A+ required or must be obtained within the first 60 days of employment. Operational Flexibility: Ability to seamlessly transition between pre-sales and post-sales activities, ensuring comprehensive lifecycle engagement with customers. Computer & Software Skills: Proficient in hardware and software troubleshooting across a variety of devices including laptops, tablets, handhelds, and mobile devices. Skilled in OS/Image builds including INF drivers, system drivers, BIOS, and encryption protocols. Experience with Microsoft environments is highly regarded, and Microsoft Certification is an added advantage. Demonstrated experience supporting end-user installation, configuration, upgrades, and migration. Capable of troubleshooting technology in vehicles, focusing on interoperability of computers with mounts, docks, and other third-party devices. Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office and previous experience in a technical support or project management role is beneficial. Experienced with third-party product solutions that integrate with Getac branded products. Travel: Extensive Travel Required: This position requires substantial travel, approximately 50% to 75% of the time, both within the regional territory and occasionally internationally. Driving Requirements: A valid Driver’s License, proof of vehicle insurance, and a driving record that meets the company’s insurer’s criteria are required. Use of one’s own vehicle may be necessary in the course of work. International Requirements: A valid passport is necessary for occasional international travel.
