General Purpose and Scope of Position: The Business Analyst’s role is to collaborate with project managers and project sponsors to determine a project’s scope and vision in support of the achievement of business requirements. The Business Analyst will elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of project stakeholders. This includes interviewing stakeholders gathering and compiling user requirements, and then translating conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers and the project team. Key Skills and Abilities Include: Four-year degree from an accredited college or university in the field of computer science, information science, management information systems, engineering, science, business administration, or accounting. Minimum of 4 years working with Tier I ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Microsoft F&O, or JD Edwards) is required, with certifications in a specialized business field (such as APICS, CPA, Forecasting, Purchase Management, etc.) a plus. Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development, with an ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language on projects of moderate complexity. Experience developing process flows, and other artifacts. Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles Knowledge of 6 Sigma (certification a plus). Knowledge of project management (Project Management, Agile certifications a plus). Key Personal Attributes Include: Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail Advanced ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Excellent communication skills with resources from varying levels within the organization Highly motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and a team player Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include: Collaborate with Project Managers, Developers, Testers, and Users to implement efficient systems in support of business processes. Assists other team members with day-to-day and longer-term functions Prepare and deliver recommendations or alternatives for improving processes in operating and/or financial systems across the organization Document and maintain detailed functional and technical requirements documentation and translate it into user stories and use cases Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications – verbally or through written documentation to project managers or leads, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood Troubleshoot end-user and system-related issues and train users on proper use of the system Determine test requirements, develop test plans, execute test scripts, and review test results for evaluating system changes Other duties as assigned by the Applications Manager Compensation and Benefits: In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $72,900 to $97,180. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
