MindPoint Group is seeking a forward-thinking and self-motivated ansible network automation engineer. This exciting role requires an appetite for learning, superior attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, great organizational skills, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative work environment. The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and provide the appropriate attention and support to overcome technical obstacles. What you get to do every day: + Be a go-to resource for all things Ansible Networking + Integrate Ansible automation with disparate platforms and technologies + Design, create and support internal initiatives such as the MindPoint Group-sponsored Ansible Lockdown Open Source project + Offer automation-oriented strategic advisory and assistance services. + Engage stakeholders to help them strengthen their automation capabilities + Use creativity and ingenuity to solve game-changing customer security problems + Analyze and offer ideas to improve the customer security architecture + Create and maintain security-focused network automation playbooks and collections in Ansible for the Ansible Lockdown open-source project + Help integrate automated testing in CI/CD pipelines of Ansible playbooks and collections for the Ansible Lockdown open-source project + Work with team members to help integrate disparate systems and processes using a mixture of automation tools, custom code/scripts, guile, and creativity + Advise and deliver security-based suggestions in the networking and automation spaces as requested on consult by other project teams. Qualifications US Citizenship, Public Trust Eligibility required What skills are required? + Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. A high school diploma with 4 years of experience in Functional Responsibility may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree. + Minimum eight (8) years of general work experience and six (6) years of relevant functional experience + At least four (6) years Linux Administration + Minimum two (2) years Ansible experience + Scripting experience + Demonstrable knowledge of virtualization platforms or container technologies + Understanding of Git-based development workflows and tools What is ideal? + Programming language knowledge is a plus, preferably python + Splunk experience is a plus, but not required. The salary range for this position is typically $120-130k.
