Department Overview By becoming a part of the Motorola Solutions Legal team, you become a part of helping public safety and commercial customers obtain the products and services needed for the moments that matter. From the legal procurement team working with subcontractors and vendors to obtain the supplies needed to run the business, to the product legal team analyzing new product offerings, to the legal pre-sales team negotiating contracts with customers, to the commercial legal operations team developing and supporting processes, policies, and practices integral to Legal’s efforts, to the post-sales project team to complete our contracts as agreed on time and on budget, our team assists, supports, and facilitates the innovation and business efforts of Motorola Solutions. Job Description Overview: This position assists Commercial Counsel and Contract Managers in providing commercial legal support to business teams in other support functions. This position includes contract management, records management, policy management, compliance, corporate governance, and process improvement tasks. The position also assists with escalation of risks and routing matters for internal approvals. Collaboration with internal business partners from many disciplines is a key component of this job. Coordination with external parties, including outside counsel or consultants may also be required. This full-time position may be a remote position. Responsibilities: Support Commercial Legal Operations Manager in developing and maintaining new contracting templates, reviewing and updating existing templates in collaboration with applicable Product, Sales Legal and other key stakeholders. Support ongoing Legal Ops projects and reporting progress to Legal Ops Manager Manage databases, automated approval tools, and other electronic systems Maintaining online terms and conditions and integration with available quoting tools Review solicitations (e.g. RFIs, RFPs) issued by government & commercial customers Assist in drafting proposal responses and contract clauses. Perform initial compliance analysis for the solicitation Act as key liaison with other functional areas (e.g, Finance, Insurance, Human Resources, Environmental Health & Safety, Trade Compliance, etc.) in reviewing customer or vendor requirements. Gather detailed information about the sales offer. Obtain and synthesize input from internal and external subject matter experts Escalating risks and obtaining approvals Research issues, as requested by Commercial Counsel or Contract Managers Assist with records management Assist Commercial Counsel with due diligence and regulatory compliance efforts Provide other general legal assistance and administrative tasks as necessary Manage databases, automated approval tools, and other electronic systems Highly Desired Skills: Excellent writing skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Strong analytical and organizational skills Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude Ability to meet strict deadlines Note: Candidate may reside anywhere in the US
