You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop test plans, execute test cases, and identify defects, playing a critical role in the successful implementation of Medicaid projects. This role requires a strong understanding of Medicaid regulations, excellent analytical skills, and experience with testing methodologies and tools. Responsibilities : Test Planning and Strategy : Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and developers to develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for Medicaid projects. Analyze project requirements and specifications to identify test scenarios, objectives, and success criteria. Define testing scope, timelines, and resource requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals and priorities. Test Execution and Defect Management : Execute test cases based on project requirements, ensuring coverage of functional and non-functional aspects of Medicaid systems and applications. Document test results, including defects, issues, and deviations from expected outcomes, using appropriate defect tracking tools. Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to quality standards. Regression Testing and Automation : Conduct regression testing to validate system functionality after changes or enhancements, ensuring no unintended side effects. Identify opportunities for test automation and develop automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks. Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and performance bottlenecks, optimizing test coverage and efficiency. Quality Assurance and Compliance : Ensure Medicaid systems and applications comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices. Conduct reviews and audits of test artifacts, including test plans, test cases, and test results, to ensure accuracy and completeness. Provide input to process improvement initiatives, enhancing testing methodologies and practices to improve overall quality and efficiency. Stakeholder Communication : Communicate test status, findings, and recommendations to project stakeholders, including project managers, business owners, and technical teams. Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize defects and determine appropriate resolution strategies, balancing business needs and technical constraints. Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) activities, providing support and guidance to end users during testing phases. Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 7+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with a focus on Medicaid systems and applications preferred Proven experience developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex software systems Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Cucumber, or similar Experience with defect tracking tools, such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or HP ALM Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Knowledge of agile development methodologies and practices preferred S2Tech is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
