Join our vibrant team as our new Trusts and Foundations Officer and become a fundamental part of the Royal British Legion’s mission to support veterans and their families. As you collaborate with the Senior Philanthropy Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role by developing relationships with a portfolio of trust and foundation supporters, identifying potential new partners, and raising vital funds for our work.
Come and be part of the leading Armed Forces charity, making a difference to the lives of those who have served to keep us safe and protect our way of life.
Your responsibilities will include managing your own portfolio of trusts and foundations, ensuring each donor receives personalised attention and appreciation through tailored relationship plans and direct communication. By leveraging RBL’s events and engagement opportunities, including welfare service visits, you’ll cultivate lasting connections with our supporters. Alongside the management of this portfolio, you’ll further develop the small trust mailing programme, maximising their experience of working with RBL.
Your meticulous attention to detail will shine as you oversee administrative tasks, such as maintaining accurate donor records and coordinating timely thank-you processes. You’ll also play a crucial role in recording financial transactions and providing reports to demonstrate our fundraising results.
As the Trusts and Foundations Officer you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your customer service skills and interpersonal finesse, building meaningful relationships with donors and senior-level stakeholders alike. Your ability to craft compelling donor communications and your proficiency in Microsoft Office packages will be assets in this role.
If you have a passion for fundraising, a knack for building relationships, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of donor stewardship, we invite you to apply and join us in making a difference in the lives of those we serve.
Here at RBL, we aim to support our people and their wellbeing, with a package including generous paid holiday allowance and pension scheme contributions, and a range of optional benefits and discounts.
You will be contracted to our London Haig House Hub. Under our Future Working framework, there will be some flexibility for working remotely/at home, using our collaboration tools to work with colleagues but with a minimum expectation of two days/week connecting directly face-to-face with colleagues at the hub.
For more detailed information about the role, please see our Vacancy Information Pack attached to our direct advert.
RBL is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive organisation, reflecting the diversity of the armed forces community and of wider society. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and personal characteristics.
