Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, skilled, and knowledgeable Cybersecurity Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver in person high-quality instruction on a range of cybersecurity courses, from foundational to advanced topics, including but not limited to network intrusions, cyber analysis, digital forensics, and incident response. This role involves teaching through various delivery methods, including in-residence at our Maryland-based schoolhouse in the BWI Region, instructor-led virtual classes, and deployment with our mobile training teams. Candidates can live outside of the service area and travel for trainings on premises.
Security Clearance Requirement:
Minimum SECRET clearance required, TOP SECRET with SCI eligibility preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver course material for our cybersecurity curriculum, ensuring content is up to date with the latest industry standards and technologies.
- Conduct engaging training sessions in various formats: in-residence, virtual classrooms, webinars, and on-site with mobile training teams.
- Evaluate student performance through examinations, practical exercises, and course projects.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of course content and teaching methods.
- Stay abreast of current trends, tools, and technologies in cybersecurity to integrate practical, real-world scenarios into the curriculum.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, an advanced degree preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., GCFE, GCFA, GCIH, GSEC, GCFR, GCTI, GREM, GNFA, GCIA, GASF, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, CEH, CISSP) are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity practices, digital forensics, network security, or a related discipline.
- Prior teaching or training experience in a formal educational setting or industry training programs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
- Ability to develop and adapt instructional materials to meet the learning needs of students with diverse backgrounds.
- Willingness to travel for mobile training unit assignments and maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate training cycles.
