The IT department is responsible for and shapes the entire IT of the City of Munich. We ensure that IT provision meets the city’s current and future needs. What you can expect

As a DevOps Engineer for Remote Desktop Services, you will work in the Virtual Client Development service team, which is responsible for the operation, design, development, commissioning, documentation and support of existing and new IT infrastructure systems in the area of Remote Desktop Services. You will be responsible for life cycle management, 3rd level support and coordination with external companies whose software we use. You will be in contact with other technical teams and support them with questions about the IT systems supported. The focus of the role is on the operation and further development of system management and its components. You will ensure the stability of the IT systems and ensure that faults are rectified quickly. The software components are continuously developed in an agile project.

You have

  • a successfully completed university degree in the field of computer science, administrative informatics or business informatics or
  • a successfully completed university degree or equivalent skills and experience

and

  • many years (at least three years) of professional experience in the IT sector

In particular, you bring with you

  • Specialist knowledge: in the area of PowerShell, C# and software packaging
  • Result and goal orientation, in particular analytical thinking and technical problem-solving skills
  • Communication skills

Of advantage are

  • Knowledge of ITILv4
  • Practical experience in agile project management (SCRUM)
  • practical experience with cloud-based environments
  • Experience with software distribution and in the area of Windows client and server systems as well as Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
  • Knowledge in the field of web development
