Responsibilities

 

Working within the 25 strong Commercial Research function, you will be responsible for delivering a broad range of market research and thought leadership covering the UK European real estate investment markets. You will be responsible for advancing the quality and insights contained within our public facing research together with ensuring that our clients and prospective clients are directly exposed to our market knowledge.

 

Capital markets research covers a broad range of research related to the buying and selling of commercial real estate.

 

You will be skilled at working across multiple stakeholders, creating narratives that go beyond the data to highlight implications for real estate investors and other market participants. You will be able to disseminate our research in a compelling, engaging and accessible manner. You will also be a core contributor to Knight Frank’s UK capital markets research. The role is adaptable for the right person, but centred around commercial real estate investment markets.

 

 Responsibilities include:

 

  • Providing real estate capital markets, economics and occupier insight. This will include via written commentary, thought leadership and flash updates for internal and external real estate capital markets stakeholders
  • Direct client engagement, presenting real estate capital markets analysis and commentary internally and externally
  • Line managing one Capital Markets Analyst
  • Responding to time-sensitive internal and external bespoke requests
  • Prioritising across multiple departments and stakeholders
  • Managing the content for the capital markets portal of the Knight Frank Intelligence Lab, as well as oversight of the internal Capital Markets Sharepoint page
  • Spokesperson for UK Capital Markets real estate research

Qualifications/Education Required

 

  • Degree qualified, with an aptitude for quantitative techniques, an analytical approach to completing assignments and strong attention to detail
  • An interest in drawing conclusions from the analysis of data and an ability to articulate these in a clear and engaging way
  • An interest in working closely with the capital markets and other KF teams
  • An interest in news, current affairs and how this links back to the commercial real estate investment market

  • Good time management and the ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines

Skills Required

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Familiarity with packages such as Macrobond, RCA, MSCI, Power BI, Alteryx, Data Science or languages such as Python useful, but not essential
  • Familiarity with the lending market useful, but not essential
