The Pharmaceutical Institute comprises four departments with around 100 employees in scientific, technical and administrative services. It houses two lecture halls and several seminar rooms with different technical equipment as well as various laboratories with analytical measuring and evaluation devices. To strengthen our 2-person IT team, we are looking to fill the following position as soon as possible:

Remuneration: up to pay group 11 TV-L (if the collective agreement and personal requirements are met)

Your tasks:
- Support, control, maintenance and expansion of the existing network in the pharmacy, interface to the computer center of the CAU.
- Hardware and software support, coordination of new acquisitions as well as maintenance and repair of existing scientific IT systems.
- Coordination and implementation of system integrations and new system launches
- Procurement of computers, software, printers, other technology (quotation selection, ordering, installation)
- IT training for employees at the Pharmaceutical Institute, troubleshooting.
- Installation, maintenance and repair work on the operating computers and network interfaces of the extensive range of equipment (GC, HPLC, NMR, IR, high-content imaging devices).
- Inventory and inventory management of IT equipment and other IT technology, license management, software distribution and management.
- Support of IT technology in teaching (projector, lecture hall technology, PC room, etc.).
- Support of the institute’s homepage.
Your profile:
- Successfully completed university/university of applied sciences studies in the technical, scientific or IT field or vocational training as an IT specialist with several years of work and relevant experience in this field. Graduates from other disciplines will be considered if they can demonstrate several years of relevant professional experience in the above-mentioned areas.
- Good hardware knowledge in the entire IT environment.
- Knowledge in the creation and implementation of authorization concepts.
- Knowledge of relational database management systems (preferably Microsoft SQL Server).
- Knowledge of the administration of Windows server systems.
- Knowledge of IT security for Windows systems.
- Knowledge of data protection and information security.
- Experience in user-oriented communication of applications.
- Business fluent in written and spoken German (level C1) and good knowledge of English (level B2).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Systematic, self-organized, efficient and service-oriented way of working.
Desirable are:
- Project, planning and reporting experience in an IT or digitization context.
- Experience with the Matrix42 management system.
- Basic knowledge of website design.
- Knowledge of administrative processes, preferably in the higher education sector.
