Senior Python Engineer in Fintech at Syberry #vacancy #remote

Syberry is the technology partner for a U.S.-based capital management company, and we are establishing an engineering center in Europe for them. The team is building the technology platform to run the company. This is a greenfield development project utilizing Python, Kotlin, React, and AWS as the primary tech stack.

We are seeking a Senior Python Engineer to develop a toolset for portfolio managers that will enable the analysis of financial data and facilitating informed decision-making based on this analysis.

About you: 

  • Strong engineering experience (we mean it): we believe at least 5 years of software engineering is a good predictor (however, you can challenge this belief) 
  • Hands-on experience with AWS: EC2, ECS, S3, RDS 
  • Finance knowledge: no need for deep conceptual understanding, but general knowledge about investment management is required, specifically equities, back-testing, and financial simulations 
  • Fluent English: for daily communication with native speakers from the U.S. 
  • Availability until 7pm CET: our product team and end users operate in the Eastern Time Zone, so we need an overla for effective collaboration. Still, we expect 8h of work daiily so you could start later or have breaks.
