This role will provide support with planning, creation, execution, and reporting of test plans and scenarios and building the automation test scripts using the approved automation frameworks. The Sr. QA Engineer will be responsible for the performance and load testing of the applications using various performance testing suites, and will also help developers with white box/unit Testing. As a Sr. QA Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Ensuring software quality is compliant with product functional specifications by executing manual and automated test plans and test cases for component, sanity, integration, regression, and performance testing. Defining and writing test plans and test cases based on the product’s functional specifications and business rules Developing and maintaining the automation test scripts using the company’s approved automation testing frameworks Interpreting and reporting test results, documenting defects and bugs, and performing analysis to determine the cause and procedure to reproduce the issue Maintaining the test case database using the company-approved software, updating test cases and test scripts when required by product enhancements and new functionalities. Determining which tests to automate with scripting and prioritizing. Creating the performance testing scenarios, running the performance test using the approved framework, and reporting the comparison results to the team to identify the product performance bottlenecks and work on the resolution plans Supporting and guiding QA Automation I Engineer, reviewing the test cases, and performing code reviews of the automation scripts Being responsible for all aspects of functional and performance testing for a variety of software development projects regarding automation Becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for application test scripts. The Sr. QA Engineer position is well-suited for you if you: Have advanced knowledge and understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Have advanced knowledge in manual web/mobile/ and API testing practices Are proficient in handling data, as well as collecting and documenting test requirements Possess advanced knowledge of writing and executing automation test scripts. Are proficient in the automation testing methodologies and programming languages required by the company-used automation frameworks (JavaScript, PHP, Java). Are an expert in using the performance testing frameworks (LoadRunner, JMeter), as well as creating and executing the performance testing scenarios and interpreting the results. What you’ll need: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
