VALiNTRY is seeking an IT Project Manager with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Position is remote work from home. This contract position offers a pay rate of $30.00 to $33.00 per hour, with the potential for conversion to a permanent role.
GENERAL SUMMARY: We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee and coordinate business and IT projects. The role involves independently managing projects of moderate to mid-level complexity. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, leading, and coordinating all project activities to minimize risks and maximize returns. Key duties include collaborating closely with business and IT teams to create comprehensive plans covering resources, timeframes, and budgets. Success in this role requires excellent time management and communication skills to ensure projects meet deadlines. Ultimately, the Project Manager is accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Act as the primary project manager by developing project plans, including scope and objectives. Identify and manage resources efficiently to achieve project goals. Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and according to requirements. Prepare budgets based on project scope and resource needs. Monitor and track project costs to ensure budget compliance. Provide regular project updates to stakeholders regarding strategy, adjustments, and progress. Apply industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project execution. Analyze business issues, gather requirements, define project scope, and identify solutions to meet objectives. Establish standards and best practices for project intake, prioritization, and delivery across the organization. Serve as a functional project management expert, offering guidance and mentorship to business units. Collaborate with Technology leadership to develop and implement project plans for both software and non-software projects. Support organizational leadership by seeking methods to improve productivity and aligning projects with Ministry goals. Participate actively in daily staff prayer and Bible study, fostering the organization’s vision, mission, and core values. Perform other duties as required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Preferred certification: Project Management Professional (PMI). Creative problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices. Experience managing projects through the full project life cycle. Strong analytical skills. Ability to complete projects within scope, budget, and timeline. Skill in managing expectations, aligning projects with business goals, and effectively communicating project status and milestones. Proficiency in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile. Experience with enterprise CRM and ERP systems. Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Ability to establish and maintain a respectful and effective working environment within the organization and with external partners. Proven leadership and team collaboration skills, with the ability to delegate and follow up on tasks. Strong listening and understanding skills, providing solutions and flexibility in reconsidering positions. Professionalism in giving and receiving instruction and criticism, with the ability to seek and incorporate input into action plans. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Requires a bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of project management experience in the technology field. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and achieve goals.
