Under limited supervision, provides specialized, professional level support in areas of advanced complexity such as system analysis and design techniques to produce innovative solutions addressing complex business objectives. Must be customer-focused, have the ability to work on multiple projects at once, and have proven experience in supporting applications and business processes. The ideal candidate will have experience performing application development and support activities in multiple environments and technologies. Writes, tests, and troubleshoots code of advanced complexity, including the development of custom stored procedures, packages, triggers, and complex reporting queries. Serves as the primary technical resource for implementing and maintaining applications. Provides technical leadership on implementation and operational support activities. The successful candidate should have demonstrated experience and a proven track record in the following: Technical experience in Facets, HealthRules Payer or other Claims Processing Systems a plus Superior experience with Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, packages, triggers and views for programming, development, and reporting Experience with ETL processes and the use of an Operational Data Store (ODS) Experience with EDI transaction sets and knowledge of EDI standards Java development skills desired Qualifications Bachelor s degree in related technical/business area plus 4 years of IT or business experience. 6 years of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree Responsibilities Provides advanced support for definition/refinement of business requirements and for quality assurance/acceptance testing effortsDesigns, develops, tests and debugs software components of moderate to high complexityProvides implementation, production and upgrade support for software components of moderate to high complexityMay act as supporting liaison between the application team and the user community, responsible for facilitating communications, coordinating system enhancements, and providing production support.Works with user community to define business requirements in sufficient detail and define business use cases that systems configuration, development/enhancement, and/or Operations activities can be pursued. Manages the development of user and technical documentation according to department standards.
