The Avel eCare Hospitalist was launched in 2017 and offers 24/7 coverage providing on-demand services to over 50 different sites in over 7 states, where Avel board-certified hospitalist and registered nurses are available to assist local care teams with the management of complex medical and surgical patients. From evaluating changes in health status and improving efficiency and timeliness of care to increasing admissions and reducing burnout among staff, Avel eCare Hospitalist can be configured to suit needs of a wide array of hospitals and health systems.
General Hours: 12-hour shifts of night coverage, approximately 6p-6a or 7p-7a central time, includes weekends and holidays

Practice Specifics:
- Telemedicine with ability to work from home for the clinical shifts
- Ability to see patients in multiple states and facilities with eCare providing support for licensing, credentialing and informatics. Expenses covered for most licensure and telemedicine equipment needed
- Variety of virtual practice location ranging from very small critical access hospitals to community hospital.

Requirements:
- MD, DO or freight equivalent degree
- Completion of ACGME-approved IM residency training
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine
- 2 years experience as hospitalist at a community hospital or larger
- ACLS certification
- Ability to be licensed in multiple states via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
- Excellent communication skills with motivation to develop customer service expertise
