Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Backend Python Engineer with a strong background in developing and deploying large-scale applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Python, PostgreSQL, and large language models (LLMs) such as GPT-4. You will be responsible for transforming complex ideas into robust, scalable, and efficient backend solutions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems using Python.
- Implement and manage databases, with a focus on PostgreSQL.
- Integrate large language models (LLMs) such as GPT-4 into existing and new applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
WHO YOU´RE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in backend development with Python.
- Extensive experience with PostgreSQL database management and optimization.
- Proven experience with large language models (LLMs), specifically GPT-4 or similar.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to take ideas from concept to implementation.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies (e.g., JavaScript, React) is a plus.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
