General Purpose and Scope of Position:The Business Analyst’s role is to collaborate with project managers and project sponsors to determine a project’s scope and vision in support of the achievement of business requirements. The Business Analyst will elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of project stakeholders. This includes interviewing stakeholders gathering and compiling user requirements, and then translating conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers and the project team. Key Skills and Abilities Include:Four-year degree from an accredited college or university in the field of computer science, information science, management information systems, engineering, science, business administration, or accounting.Minimum of 4 years working with Tier I ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Microsoft F&O, or JD Edwards) is required, with certifications in a specialized business field (such as APICS, CPA, Forecasting, Purchase Management, etc.) a plus.Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development, with an ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language on projects of moderate complexity. Experience developing process flows, and other artifacts.Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) principlesKnowledge of 6 Sigma (certification a plus).Knowledge of project management (Project Management, Agile certifications a plus). Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
