The Hartford’s Information Protection (THIP) organization is looking for a talented individual to join a high-performing team of Cybersecurity professionals who are charged with supporting and enhancing our core Identity and Access platforms. This position will be a part of the primary technical team tasked with maintaining IAM policies and logical access controls in both our on premise and Cloud-based initiatives. This is a key role within our Information Security organization, and as a company and organization we are committed to supporting the development of our team members. An Information Security Specialist must foster constructive dialogue and seek resolution when confronted with discordant views. Specialists are expected to have a broad and deep security experience and are expected to participate fully in the planning of IAM and Security work while constantly seeking opportunities for process improvement. As an IAM Security Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting multiple IAM systems including Microsoft Active Directory, AWS IAM, Azure and others. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of IAM concepts, best practices, and emerging technologies to help ensure the security and integrity of our systems. You will get to: Serve as the technical expert on AWS IAM related topics and provide guidance to the team Implement AWS IAM solutions to support business objectives Collaborate with Cross functional teams to ensure IAM solutions align with business needs Conduct research and evaluate emerging IAM technologies to make recommendations for future improvements Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IAM Support the existing IAM infrastructure Work closely with support teams to ensure timely resolution of IAM related issues Assist in the implementation and maintenance of IAM related standards, practices and procedures Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the design, implementation, and deployment of software services that address IAM, Security and Compliance needs.
- Collaborate with team members, SDMs, Principal Engineers, Program Managers and Operations leaders to envision and develop solutions that delight our end-users.
- Engage with developer community advocating and helping with the adoption of IAM solutions that raise the security bar while sharing your knowledge of the most effective performance, scalability, architecture, and engineering patterns and methods.
- Mentor team members, fostering their growth and development, while doing your part to maintain a culture of continuous learning within the software community.
- Maintain good documentation and be ready to disseminate it in a timely way to make it easier to track progress and identify any issues quickly.
- Actively engage with customers, stakeholders, and industry experts, capturing customer security
expectations for AI systems and incorporating them into the security bar.
- Strong decision-making capabilities with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate actions.
- Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management
Required Qualifications 2+ years of direct experience within IAM 1+ years of hands-on AWS IAM policy evaluation experience Bachelor’s Degree AWS Cloud Practitioner Certified Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. Compensation The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
