Job Description

With SD X we are building a platform based on different SaaS Solutions like SAP CPQ, ServiceNow, Netcracker Orchestrator, Juniper CSO, SAP BRIM and others. The SDX platform is designed as the future B2B platform for our solutions business, which is aimed at SMEs through to large multinational companies. It will cover the entire customer journey, from the preparation of offers to the use and billing of services. Initially, the platform will be launched with a Competence Center as one element of the new MBN Ecosystem, through which various vendor-specific SD products will be delivered to customers by well-trained teams of experts. The efficiency and effectiveness of these processes will be supported by the capabilities of the SDX platform.

As a SAP CPQ Architect, you will be responsible for designing and support building technical solutions for cloud-native SAP CPQ, interface to on-prem infrastructure with microservices or traditional application patterns. Your typical day will involve assessing, designing, and engineering technical solutions in complex technology environments using your expertise in SAP CPQ Configure Price & Quote.
PANDA consists of several applications such as CPQ and webservices to integrate in Telekom infrastructure POM – Integrate with order, PIM – Integrate with Inventory, PCM – get product data specifications, also interact with feature sets like Deal View Light are joining as CPQ external applications/ microservices.

Tasks

  • Create Architecture Runway, Describe IT-Enabler and ensure prioritization and consideration within the PIP
  • Create views on Environment Management and integration views for the todays 6 cpq Environments
  • Manage as-is SAP CPQ specific Deployment activities, support CAB Board releases, maintain out-of-the box deployment capabilities and own-developed tools together with system-team
  • Create and Maintain guidelines for developer, and technical designs 
  • Be responsible to manage community of developers
  • Improve and Maintain wiki documentation for Product-Design-sheets, Feature-Design-Sheets and Services-Design-Sheets
  • Be responsible for CPQ cleanup activities to archive obsolete artefacts, products and Attributes, permission groups, obsolete Scripts, responsive design templates, custom tables and quotes tables etc.
  • Maintain Release management activities are to be handled together with platform team (CPQ Compare Tool, CPQ Tool, process “How to”, but also create a new concept for automation and using state-of-the art CICD solution
  • Ensure proper concepts for Interaction with microservices: The he PANDA Microservices are visible within the application landscape of PANDA, POM Adapter – Enabling offer to order transfer between CPQ and ServiceNow, PIM Module – Consolidates inventory data from ServiceNow and other sources and provides them into the CPQ configurator, PCM Module – Automatically pulls Prima+ catalog data and allows enrichment with non-Prima+ data required to create a complete CPQ product release, Deal View Light – Enables customer individual pricing in the CPQ shopping cart

Skills

  • SAP CPQ Knowledge : Understanding of SAP CPQ functionalities, configuration options, and how it fits within the SDx/SNP ecosystem.
  • System Architecture : Experience in designing and developing system architectures, for enterprise application SAP CPQ
  • Integration Experience : Knowledge of integration possibilities and technologies to seamlessly integrate SAP CPQ with existing systems, particularly order systems using Telekom-IT Toolset
  • Understanding of ecosystem related Systems : Familiarity with systems and webservices that are part of the platform to ensure smooth integration.
  • Programming Skills : Basic knowledge of programming languages used in SAP CPQ such as Python are beneficial for developing custom extensions or integrations.
  • Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze complex requirements and develop appropriate solution approaches that align with business needs.
  • Communication Skills : Ability to communicate with various stakeholders including developer teams, management, and clients, and articulate technical concepts in an understandable manner.
  • Project Management : Experience in project management to plan, monitor, and ensure timely delivery of the implementation process.
  • Teamwork : Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and collaborate effectively with other team members to achieve common goals.
  • Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to quickly identify and address issues that arise, ensuring smooth operation of the system.
