This position will develop testing scripts and procedures, carry out the software testing, create reports on the software’s performance and provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance for the test automation and software quality assurance team. The Software Test Engineer will lead implementation of automated testing procedures on software programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Create testing procedures to evaluate the performance of the software Build software testing programs that automate testing processes Run the software testing procedures to evaluate the software Document all testing procedures Report bugs and make recommendations to improve the software product Lead other Test Engineers, and collaborate with Software Programmers and other team members Retest software after bugs are fixed to ensure the program works properly Attend meetings with the development team, clients and other groups Strong technical abilities and comfort working with various software programs Knowledge and Skills: Testing experience with applications crafted in multiple programming languages, such as Python, Java, PHP Full-stack testing experience with AWS Source Control System experience with Git Unit Testing, Automated Testing, and Test Driven Development (TDD) Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum) Methodology Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
