We are looking for a talented and motivated Software Engineer – Java to join our growing team! As a Software Engineer , one will assist with developing and maintaining functionalities within CDK’s cloud-based inventory management system, that leverages AI features.
Our Software Engineer will play a key role in developing and maintaining functionalities within CDK’s cloud-based inventory management system, that leverages AI features, using Java and related technologies .
Essential Functions (not limited to):
- May lead small project teams or project phases of larger scope
- Works independently with minimal guidance and direction
- Designs, develops, and tests new features using Java and related technologies (e.g., Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JUnit)
- Collaborates with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Writes clean, well-documented, and maintainable code adhering to coding standards and best practices
- Conducts unit tests to ensure the quality and functionality of code
- Debug and troubleshoot existing code
- Participates in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to colleagues
- Stays up-to-date on the latest Java technologies and best practices
Required Qualification and Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field with 3+ years of Java programming experience or 5+ years of progressive Java programming experience
- Understands utilizing Agile software development methodologies
- Deep knowledge of at least one programming language along with ability to execute on complex programming tasks
- Ability to document, track and monitor a problem/issue to a timely resolution •Knowledge of operating systems
- Collaborative problem-solving ability and self-motivated
- Strong verbal and written communication skills along with prioritization of duties
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Cloud Platforms (i.e.: AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Exposure and/or experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices
- SaaS or Automotive Industry
Base Salary Ranges : $85,000 – $115,000
