YOU As a Senior Hybris Technical Project Manager, you will be a member of the IT Hybris platform team supporting application development projects across Engineering, Marketing, and e-Commerce. These projects may involve Web, and Mobile development. You should possess expertise in the business unit(s) you support, as well as an understanding of the IT organization’s systems and capabilities. You will use the combination of technical expertise, project management skills and stakeholder management to deliver complex initiates within Hybris Commerce platform and related area. You will assist in business process redesign and documentation, translate high level business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications, educate the IT organization on the direction of the business, negotiate agreements and commitments between business unit(s) and IT, and possess an understanding of technological trends; using this knowledge to bring competitive solutions to the business. You will understand the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project management processes and manage business requirements and project technical requirements for multiple projects are the same time. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time) Overseas all aspects of technical projects from planning to delivering for IT Hybris and related projects. Bridge the gaps between technical details and broader project objectives to ensure the alignments and delivery effectively. Convert business requirements into technical requirements for development to ensure delivery align correctly with business requirements. Coordinate technical resources, track project budget, status, risk, and timeline. Lead Hybris platform enhancements, customizations, and releases for Hybris, overseas the customization features and technologies to align with specific business requirements. Effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders (business teams, IT teams, offshore development, and QA teams) to manage their expectations, remove roadblocks, and ensure stakeholders satisfaction. (70%) Meet with business on a regular basis to gain knowledge in the business unit(s) you support, as well as to understand the IT organization’s systems and capabilities. Analyze business partner’s operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions. Possess an understanding of technological trends and use the knowledge to bring solutions to the business units supported to enhance the enterprise’s competitive edge. May make buy versus build recommendations. (30%)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too: B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related technical field required. 7 years’ experience or more in technical project management and business analysis. Have records of successfully leading and delivering large software development projects. Experience in managing complex technology projects including budgeting, timeline tracking and risk management. Experience working with offshore development teams. Understanding of Hybris Commerce platform’s architecture, components, and customization capabilities is a good plus. Have development experience in Java programming knowledge is a good plus. Know how to use project management tools such as Jira, confluence and Smartsheet. PMP or Agile management certification recommended. Leadership: Initiative-taker who demonstrates creativity in solving problems or generating improvement ideas.Able to prioritize competing or conflicting requests. Must exhibit effective communication skills. Supports and maintains a positive attitude and vision with peers, associates, team members and management. Relationship building: Ability to work collaboratively with employees within department and across functions. Ability to maintain an open, approachable manner, and treat others respectfully. Communication: Ability to use language that is appropriate to the audience, occasion, and purpose. Ability to write in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audiences.
