Software Development Test Engineer Location: Longmont CO -Remote About Satelles Satelles safeguards our society against attacks to global positioning systems that could disrupt or disable the foundations of our society, including electrical grids, wireless communications, financial systems, and other critical infrastructure. Opportunity Summary: This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who craves variety and is looking for an opportunity to manage all aspects of the testing portfolio for a rapidly growing company. Major Duties and Responsibilities Define and implement holistic solutions for manual and automated product verification and validation across the organization Define and implement solutions to identify of code defects as early as possible in the change/build/deploy/release process using CI/CD techniques Assist in the definition of an automated framework to enable a Test-Driven Development style approach and provide testing utilities and libraries to maximize team throughout and effectiveness Convert existing manual test scripts to run under automation frameworks Execute test scenarios, scripts and procedures for smoke, regression, functional and HITL tests Integrate custom defect reporting hooks and test reporting solutions for automation Maintain and improve automated solutions on a per-release basis Review and evaluate source code updates during the development cycles for testability and reliability Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field 5+ years of experience as an SDET, developer, or strong Automation Engineer Experience with QA concepts and methodology Experience working in a Linux environment Proficiency with Python and C++ Knowledge of industry standard test automation tools and experience developing product test harnesses Experience with Continuous Integration and tools to support test automation Experience driving quality across an organization as a holistic plan and not just test execution U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to government contracts. Preferred Qualifications Experience with RF/hardware design and debugging Experience leading software test teams Technologies and Tools ARM, DSP, C++, Python, RTOS, Linux development environment Skills with MATLAB/Octave, Python, verification or test automation tools The salary range for this position is $110,000 – $150,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. These ranges are subject to change.
