As an Application Developer Specialist you will be part of the Automotive Refinish IT team.
You will be responsible for working alongside – and providing technical guidance to a team of junior and intermediate developers as they deliver a new generation of global, custom software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strong analytical and technical expertise, helping lead a project team in the analysis, design, development and implementation of business solutions
- Provide technical leadership and give direction to both PPG employees and contract resources
- Lead efforts to promote and leverage technology, keeping in mind its impact on individual functions/businesses and PPG as a whole
- Create, modify, and test programming code, lead teams doing so, and/or provide technical consulting support on projects or system issues
- Effectively assess objectives for assigned project phases and recommend and implement technical strategies and tactics to achieve business and project goals
Qualifications:
- A four-year degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline
- Expertise in implementing robust applications using the Angular web development framework
- Proven ability to design global applications using the appropriate systems architecture, database structures, communication and network technologies
- 6+ years of industry experience with expertise in the following technologies/platforms preferred:
- Full-Stack Web Development
- Angular and TypeScript
- .NET Framework (C#)
- SQL Server
- Entity Framework
- Microsoft Azure
- Azure DevOps
- Ability to mentor and direct others
- Extensive analytical skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills (including technical writing skills)
- Understanding of the Agile development methodology
