Job Description

Forbes Marketplace, a dynamic and fully remote company with approximately 600 employees, is seeking an IT Associate to play a crucial role in maintaining and advancing our IT infrastructure, security, and operations. This position necessitates a versatile individual who can learn and administer a changing technology suite, ensure compliance with security standards, and embrace industry best practices. We are fully cloud based, with no physical infrastructure and no non-saas systems.

As a dedicated and resourceful individual contributor within our organization, you will assist the IT Manager with our entire IT landscape, from device provisioning and security to onboarding and offboarding processes. This is a lean team, but you will collaborate with external resources for implementation when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tech Support
    • Act as the first line of support for employees facing issues with our tech stack including, but not limited to, devices, access requests, SaaS platforms, etc.
    • Triage and troubleshoot incoming requests, update the ITSM platform with notes, escalate to the appropriate resources as needed.
    • Use screen sharing tools to aid in support of a remote workforce.
    • Create solution documentation for internal IT and/or employee reference.
    • Recommend technology, tool, or process changes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Device Provisioning:
    • Identify and partner with vendors to procure and remotely provision devices across various territories (UK, India, and the US). Our specialist staff work across several domains including editorial, software development and marketing.
    • Implement and maintain a zero-touch onboarding experience for employees using technologies like Microsoft Autopilot and Apple ADE
    • Work to standardize the device fleet over time and propose an approach to a device refresh program.
  • Device Management:
    • Administer corporate devices using Mobile Device Management (MDM).
    • Administer personal devices (BYOD) using Mobile Application Management (MAM).
  • Onboarding and Offboarding:
    • Collaborate closely with Human Resources to streamline the onboarding and offboarding processes, including account and hardware provisioning.
    • Ensure efficient equipment and data delivery and return.
  • Security:
    • Follow standard processes and partner with security team members to maintain and implement best practices for business users, endpoints, SaaS platforms, etc.
    • Engineering infrastructure is largely out of scope for this role.
    • Contribute to security policies, continuously monitor compliance, and address exceptions as they arise.
  • Third-Party SaaS Products:
    • Support efforts to deduplicate our suite of third-party software products, creating a single consistent tool suite across all business areas.
    • Support the standardization of account provision within third party systems implementing SAML SSO and SCIM provisioning.
    • Establish and operate a process to periodically review whether employees still need access to the systems which they’re licensed for in order to keep software costs in check.
  • Vendor Relationships:
    • Interact with and maintain relationships with assigned vendors.
    • Participate in renewal processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience in IT Operation and troubleshooting, ideally in a remote environment
  • Experience working with ITSM platforms like Jira Service Management or similar
  • Experience with the Microsoft 365 suite including Entra, Intune, Defender, etc.
  • Experience with device procurement and provisioning
  • Experience administering SaaS platforms
  • Understanding of computer hardware needs of employees based on role
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting a variety of technologies
  • Critical thinking, decision-making, and prioritization skills
  • Self-driven, resourceful, and able to work independently at pace
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Bonus for experience with:
    • SaaS migrations, M&A, Infosec
