Key Responsibilities: The MBE (Model Based Enterprise) Digital Process Architect will serve as an enterprise leader and a key SME responsible for helping map existing digital processes and identify necessary process changes; specifically focusing on seamless integration of digital tools into P&W processes. This role will drive end-to-end visibility of digital process and partner closely with business leads. This key capability will enable successful launches of MBE capabilities by developing clear technical architectures to define design, build, and sustainment of tools. This individual will understand and take ownership of the process and interactions between major systems such as PLM, ERP, MES, and other foundational technology stacks to create a holistic digital ecosystem. The MBE Digital Process Architect will be expected to provide strong leadership, overall technical direction to the team, and guidance to stakeholders based on Digital Thread best practices. Partner extensively with all parts of the Pratt & Whitney MBE community, to ensure implementation of solutions that serve to streamline the way we work – including but not limited to technical development, validation, technology transfer, and ongoing lifecycle management / support for our products. Act as a thought leader, operating across various Technical Platform Areas and provide guidance on a global scale regarding Industry Best Practices. Demonstrated experience in process mapping, re-architecting, and optimization for digital transformation of major industrial, manufacturing, or A&D organization. Proven experience with requirements gathering, project definition, and understanding the customer need Demonstrated agile mindset and proven history of helping implement and support scaled agile practices Participate in technology forums and town hall sessions for the benefit of the MBE community, helping the community understand the value of digital process transformation. Work with program leadership to establish short and long-term vision and roadmaps for integration of solutions across MBE portfolio Work closely with existing Enterprise, Application, Data, Infrastructure and Cybersecurity architecture teams Help with deployment of process monitoring practices to improve the performance and reliability of MBE systems Participate on the Interdisciplinary Program Management Team to provide technical expertise and maintain project continuity and communicate deployment plans. Assist with PW MBE roadmap including technologies and industry best practices. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 12+ years of experience in Information Technology that includes acting as an architect and process optimization engineer on large scale technology implementations, including 8 years as an enterprise level business/process/technology architect; OR an Advanced Degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 10+ years of experience in Information Technology that includes acting as an architect and process optimization engineer on large scale technology implementations, including 8 years as an enterprise level business/process/technology architect Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience with Model-Based Enterprise; Knowledge and experience working in Agile / Scrum teams, including daily standups, retrospectives, demos/reviews; Experience with modern architecture frameworks and designs that support successful DevSecOps pipeline delivery Ability to provide strategic technical leadership and lead by influence the creation of long-term strategy (e.g., more than 3 years) roadmaps in a virtual environment; Possess exceptional written and oral communication skills, can develop clear, concise, and logically written business communications, as well as deliver recommendations; Outstanding formal and informal presentation skills; and a proven track record communicating within cross-functional team of technical resources, QA, and engineers Demonstrated effectiveness working in a complex, service-intensive, deadline-driven environment Ability to build strong relationships to leverage information and insights across key groups, and strong personal leadership, organizational, relationship-building, and negotiation skills Knowledge of digital engineering as modern model-based technologies such as model-based systems engineering (MBSE), or model-based design (MBD), model-based definition, manufacturing and inspection (MBDMI), model-based services and MRO What is my role type? The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
