In Budapest, our Technology hub currently employs near 200 – and a growing number – of highly trained software engineers and managers who are implementing global software development projects across fulfilment, supplier and product management, online and in-store loss prevention, and our online grocery sites.

Job Description

A Product Manager will translate customer problems into pieces of development for a technology product, working closely with software engineers, whilst also looking at the bigger picture of the product roadmap, strategy & vision. 

About Graduate Programme 
Your experience with us during the Graduate Programme will look like the following: 

  1. Induction 
    We’ll kick off with a two-day induction, where you’ll learn more about our business and your programme. It’s a great opportunity for you to meet your fellow graduates. We’ll then introduce you to your team, so you can get to know more about your role or project and the area you’ll be working in. 

  2. Store experience 
    Within the first six months, you’ll spend 1-2 weeks working in one of our stores. You’ll learn how our stores operate and how they link to your role or project, which is crucial for serving our customers a little better every day. 

  3. Programme structure 
    You’ll gain a breadth of technology experience and skills as you complete three placements in different product teams. 

  4. Where next? 
    This breadth of experience will help you think about your future at Tesco, beyond your programme, as there is a wide variety of job opportunities. As you finish your programme, you should be well-equipped to excel in a product management role that plays to your unique strengths and interests.

We’re looking for graduates with a curious, creative mind, who love solving problems. You’ll need a strong passion for technology and an analytical mind. Being a great teammate is key, as you’ll be working with lots of colleagues across technology to bring your solutions to life. Great communication skills are essential to gain support for your ideas and understand the wider business context.
