The Veeam Tax Director role will report to the Vice President of Tax and will support the business to ensure timely and accurate filing of US tax returns, minimizing risk and identification of tax savings opportunities.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and review the Group’s consolidated US federal, state, and local income tax returns and other business-related filings to ensure the accurate, timely filing of tax returns
  • Assist VP of Tax with developing and monitoring tax policies and internal controls over tax function
  • Oversee ASC 740 tax provision and related audit activities
  • Develop tax staff
  • Monitor tax legislation, research tax issues, and provide tax planning ideas, including, but not limited to federal income tax issues, state tax nexus, sales/use tax issues, property tax and make appropriate updates to policies/strategies
  • Support examinations/audits of the Group’s subsidiaries’ tax returns
  • Review estimated payments – federal, state, and local income tax
  • Assist with transfer pricing strategies, as needed
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies in tax department processes, including the evolution of technology solutions
  • Special projects, as needed

WORK EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED

The position requires experience with the following skills and characteristics:

  • Expert-level corporate tax experience, preferably in a Big 4 public accounting and/or a corporate tax department
  • Experience managing tax staff
  • Experience with US taxation of international operations; GILTI, Subpart F, Foreign Tax Credits, BEAT, FDII, etc.
  • ASC 740 experience
  • Well organized, goal oriented, and motivated
  • Able to work at a fast pace and prioritize competing projects (focused)
  • Proactive team player (collaboration and sharing), strong communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills (solution-oriented), as well as some project management skills
  • Software Industry experience is a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of NetSuite Accounting Software, not required, but desirable
  • Knowledge of OTP software tool, not required, but desirable

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Tax is required. CPA or a Masters in Tax is required. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

The salary range posted is On Target Earnings (OTE), which is inclusive of base and variable pay. When making an offer of employment, Veeam will take into consideration the candidate’s expectations, experience, education, scope of responsibility for the role, and the current market demands.

United States of America Pay Range

$192,900-$275,600 USD
