Job Summary

TestPros is currently looking to hire a remote Accessibility Compliance & Cybersecurity Specialist for a corporate contract. We are seeking professionals with expertise in Section 508 and W3C WCAG Accessibility assessments, including both manual and automated testing, as well as software remediation. The ideal candidate should also be capable of conducting NIST 800-53 ATO Support assessments and developing the Security Assessment Report (SAR). Additional experience with NIST 800-171 / CMMC consulting and assessment, or ISO 27001, would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Accessibility Compliance Assessments: Conduct comprehensive assessments in compliance with Section 508 and W3C WCAG guidelines.

  • Manual and Automated Testing: Perform both manual and automated testing to identify accessibility issues in software and applications.

  • Software Remediation: Provide solutions and recommendations for addressing accessibility barriers identified during assessments.

  • NIST 800-53 Assessments: Conduct assessments under NIST 800-53 for Authorization to Operate (ATO) support, ensuring all security protocols are met.

  • Security Assessment Report Development: Compile and develop detailed Security Assessment Reports (SAR) documenting assessment findings and recommendations.

  • Consulting and Additional Assessments: Provide consulting services and perform assessments in accordance with NIST 800-171 / CMMC and/or ISO 27001 standards, as required.

  • Client and Project Team Collaboration: Work effectively with multiple clients or project teams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelors degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field is preferred.

  • Experience in Accessibility Assessments: Proven experience conducting accessibility assessments following Section 508 and W3C WCAG guidelines.

  • Expertise in Security Protocols: Familiarity with NIST 800-53 and the ability to perform ATO support assessments.

  • Testing Skills: Skilled in both manual and automated testing techniques with a thorough understanding of accessibility barriers and their remedies.

  • Report Writing: Strong ability to develop comprehensive security and compliance reports.

  • Relevant Certifications: Possession of certifications such as DHS Trusted Tester, IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC), IAAP Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) Credential, CMMC cert, and/or CISSP.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical details and requirements effectively to a non-technical audience.

  • Multi-tasking and Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and coordinate multiple projects and clients in a dynamic environment.
