Job Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SQL Developer/DBA Support to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with SQL Server 2016, strong SQL skills, and expertise in database design and development. This role involves maintaining and optimizing our SQL databases, developing production scripts, and supporting database performance and troubleshooting. The candidate should be well-versed in both business analysis and technical aspects of database management.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain system documentation for database processes and procedures
- Administer SQL Server 2016, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and security
- Design, implement, and maintain production scripts to support database operations
- Develop and optimize views, stored procedures, and T-SQL scripts
- Apply solid networking fundamentals to manage and optimize database networks
- Organize and optimize database physical storage (e.g., database physical file organization, RAID disk configurations, storage area network, IO optimization)
- Collaborate with team members to foster strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Conduct business analysis to prepare logical and physical database models
- Troubleshoot and remediate database performance issues
- Perform data analysis and assess data quality to ensure data integrity
- Engage in database design and development projects to support organizational goals
- Model data for OLTP (Online Transaction Processing) databases to ensure efficient data processing and storage
Qualifications :
- Proven ability to develop and write comprehensive system documentation
- Substantial hands-on experience with all aspects of SQL Server 2016 administration
- Solid experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining production scripts
- Strong SQL skills, with expertise in developing views and stored procedures on SQL Server
- In-depth understanding of networking fundamentals as they relate to database management
- Experience in database physical storage organization and optimization, including knowledge of RAID disk configurations and storage area networks
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, conducive to effective team collaboration
- Well-versed in business analysis with the ability to prepare logical and physical database models
- Proven experience in database performance troubleshooting and remediation
- Excellent data analysis and data quality assessment skills
- Expertise in database design and development
- Proficiency in T-SQL
- Experience with data modeling for OLTP databases
Preferred Skills :
- Relevant certifications in SQL Server or database administration
- Experience with newer versions of SQL Server beyond 2016
- Familiarity with ETL processes and tools
- Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions and services
