JOB OVERVIEW As a DevOps Engineer, your primary responsibility is to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our platform. You will work closely with other engineers to develop and maintain a highly available and fault-tolerant infrastructure. Your expertise in cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Azure will be vital in building and maintaining our platform’s architecture. You will also be responsible for improving our CI/CD pipeline, ensuring that we can deploy our code quickly and safely. You will be a key member of the agile development process, driving continuous integration and delivery, and supporting your colleagues to deploy their code to production quickly. Additionally, you will provide mentorship to junior engineers and participate in cross-team collaboration. Your ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively will be essential in maintaining the platform’s reliability. You will also collaborate with product and design teams, providing technical feedback on proposed changes and suggesting feasible alternatives when necessary. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Contribute to the successful execution of the company’s roadmap by efficiently migrating to industry-leading cybersecurity practices, CI/CD processes (including Infrastructure as Code), comprehensive observability, and automated testing strategies. Actively participate in the continuous improvement of our hybrid multi cloud environment, focusing on enhancing security, reliability, scalability, reproducibility, and maintainability across the infrastructure. Facilitate an effective transition to Infrastructure as Code principles throughout our AWS deployment landscape, utilizing tools such as Terraform and Ansible to establish reproducible environments across multiple regions Lead our efforts in achieving the overarching objective of deployment targets modernization, optimizing resource management and scalability throughout the organization Stay informed on the latest in DevOps, proactively incorporating industry best practices into the company’s processes for ongoing refinement and continuous improvement Ensure that systems meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues. Review and analyze existing operations effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems. Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of system-usage best practices. Ensure that all processes within DevOps are properly documented and cross training is in place where applicable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree. Minimum 2+ years relevant experience; may have degree or equivalent. REQUIRED SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE Terraform Cloud Ansible Packer CI/CD Tools AWS and/or Azure Certification is preferred but not required. Hashicorp Terraform Certification is preferred but not required IIS is preferred but not required. Powershell is preferred but not required.
