Blue Altair is in search of the next generation of API practitioners to help a large business transform from a telecommunications company to a technology company. An important piece of this initiative is the transformation to an API-first approach. With products at different stages of this journey ā monolithic, API-last, API-first ā we need an API Evangelist who can help set the right culture, and process for this transformation. This position is available for fully remote work. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Spread the word, first internal and possibly external communities, with a focus on Blue Altairās APIs, and our application and service development platforms to help developers and operators create awesome products Mentor and coach team on API-first best practices and skills Help define how a world class API team operates and drives business impact Drive the editorial calendar and support the teamās creation of engaging content around Blue Altairās open-source engagements and products Engage with developers and participate in developer forums; create samples, guides, tutorials, and blogs to ensure an excellent experience, both for internal and external developers Work closely with partners and open-source communities, such as CNCF, GraphQL Foundation, to coordinate marketing collateral and initiatives Be an evangelist for the Blue Altair development platform, Development Portal, and open-source projects both internally and externally by speaking at conferences, meetups, community meetings Be customer-obsessed, acting as the voice of developers and Blue Altairās customers in creating and operationalizing world-class SaaS platforms Help improve our products by providing feedback on API design, platform usability, and functionality Participate in and grow the communities around Blue Altairās involvement in open source Build strong cross-functional partnerships at multiple levels within the company, including commercial, engineering, marketing, sales, and services Own the API-first training plan to ensure adoption of Blue Altairās API program Requirements: Computer Science or a related technical degree.
