AWS DevOps /SRE Engineer Location: Anywhere in United States, remote We are looking for senior AWS DevOps /SRE Engineer with at least 15+ years overall IT experience for an immediate need. This is a client-facing role & the candidate will have regular interactions with various client managers. This is a remote position with an occasional travel to client location- Pleasanton, CA or Atlanta, GA. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide a stable cloud environment with proven experience in cloud engineering and a deep understanding of AWS and/or GCP services and offerings.
  • Develop processes and pipelines with hands-on experience in CI/CD technologies – eg: Argo CD (preferred), and Argo Workflow (preferred), Chef or Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins. Gitlab etc.
  • Create and provide support for monitoring, alerting, fault analysis, and other common reliability engineering concepts.
  • Provide incident response and RCA using strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Develop and deploy containerized applications with proven experience in Kubernetes and container orchestration.

Desired Skills:

  • 15+ years overall IT experience with at least 8+ years in AWS and minimum of 4+ years in DevOps
  • Strong understanding of AWS foundation – VPC, Compute, Storage, Network & Security
  • Ability to provision infrastructure using Cloud Formation or Terraform
  • Hands on knowledge of Python or PowerShell or Node.JS
  • Good Administration skills in Linux and/or Windows

SL Area Details 1 Core AWS services EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, Route53, VPC, Architecture, etc., Mandatory 2 Automation / Infra-as-Code Terraform or CloudFormation Mandatory 3 DevOps Hands-on experience in CI/CD technologies – eg: Argo CD (preferred), and Argo Workflow (preferred), Chef or Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins. Gitlab etc. Mandatory 4 Scripting Languages Python or PowerShell or Node.JS Good to have Work Authorization: Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.) Applications will be accepted until 7/1/24 Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is [$131,300 to $163,700] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
