JOB TITLE: Business Intelligence Developer

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time,40 hours/wk

SCHEDULED HOURS: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm HYBRID and/or REMOTE

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Transform raw data into meaningful information that can be used to drive business strategies and decisions. Act as a bridge between the technical IS team and data analysts helping to drive data-based decision-making.

By :

  • Collaborating with stakeholders, business analysts and data architects to understand data needs and deliver solutions that meet them.
  • Developing and updating BI reports, communicating actionable insights to improve decision making.
  • Work with Data Architect and Data Integration Specialist in the development and delivery of data sets, data models, reporting tools and analytical analysis.
  • Supporting internal SQL database, stored procedure, and function development in the delivery of quality data sets & reporting tools.
  • Ensuring data security, implementing appropriate access controls and data protection measures.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Serve as technical lead, Microsoft SQL Server, BI Administration, BI dashboards and report development.
  • Assist in extracting data from various sources, such as databases, spreadsheets, or APIs.
  • Assist to design, maintain, and develop enterprise database systems with attention to performance and scalability.
  • Support the development and building of data models by creating or maintaining data relationships.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and data analysts to define the company’s needs and requirements to recommend technical solutions, to understand reporting requirements and contribute to design effective solutions.
  • Work closely with data architect/modeler to extract data from various sources, and transform it into a format suitable for analysis, Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processing.
  • Setting up and maintaining BI tools, infrastructure, and integration with company data sources.
  • Data visualization: Design and develop BI tools that help business process and display data easily and efficiently, across multiple databases.
  • Management of data sets, ensuring they are clean, accurate and ensure the proper access controls.
  • Power BI Administration, security, and data governance.
  • Troubleshoots data-related issues, maintains the Power BI infrastructure, and implements process improvements.
  • Maintains data documentation, data flow diagrams, technical specifications in compliance with best practice, CHR standards.
  • Participates in staff meetings, supervision, training, and other meetings as assigned.
  • Additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, or related field

Experience: 5 years’ experience in a similar role. Min. 3 years’ experience directly related to transact SQL database queries, data manipulation and extraction, development of stored procedures and user defined functions. Experience using BI Tools, solid knowledge of Python & JavaScript,

Skills:

  • Power BI Administration, Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and data visualization concepts
  • Knowledge of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for creating calculations
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Extremely good communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Adaptability to changing business requirements.

COMPENSATION*:

$75,941.00 annually min.-$113,912.00 annually max., dependent upon experience.

*Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based off relevant experience, as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
