CrowdStrike, Inc. Full time R18657 About the Role: CrowdStrike is looking for a Cloud Engineer III to join our growing EASM Engineering team. This team focuses on delivering best in class experiences to our customers while enabling them to detect, prioritize, and manage all of their exposed internet-facing assets. This allows our customers to better secure their digital perimeter and help prevent breaches. You’ll be part of a team that owns an entire piece of the stack, and work closely with both other Cloud Engineers, UI Engineers, Product, and QA to help build and improve our product. What You’ll Do: Write secure and maintainable code that powers one of CrowdStrike’s flagship products Collaborate with others across multiple teams to brainstorm, research, and build solutions that are driven by our Product roadmap Build, maintain, and improve backend microservices written in Go and Python Launch and support features that will be used by millions of users around the world Understand business and engineering requirements so that you can be proactive in sharing ideas and solutions Constantly be aware of our customers and keep them front of mind while planning and releasing features Have a strong focus on quality of code through best practices, testing, logging and metrics Have the autonomy to own your work in a high trust environment What You’ll Need: A minimum of 5+ years of overall software engineering experience A minimum of 5+ years in Golang, Python, Cassandra, or similar Production-level experience in building, delivering, and maintaining systems at scale Expertise in distributed systems, mirco-service architectures, multi-region architectures, software development best practices, observability and reliability engineering Expertise in scalability and distributed systems, such as sharding, partitioning, concurrency, etc. A thorough understanding of engineering best practices from appropriate testing paradigms to effective peer code reviews and resilient architecture Multiple years of experience debugging complex issues at every level of the stack The ability to work independently, but also collaboratively Bonus Points: Existing exposure to Python, Go, AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch Docker and Kubernetes experience Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields
