The establishment of security controls and procedures is essential for the protection of employees, the preservation of assets, and the effective enforcement of rules and regulations. The Cloud Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) will oversee the architecture and evaluation of commercial classified cloud for all RTX National Industrial Security Program (NISP). The ISSE will also be responsible for the integration of the enterprise Global Security Services (GSS) on-prem enterprise networks into and in conjunction with commercial classified cloud. This corporate role will build a standardized approach for determining risk levels, security posture, and implications of new technology or technology updates as they relate to cloud across the RTX enterprise. Individual will manage alignment with the organization’s technical roadmap strategy for multi-cloud deployments. Working with RTX business units to align with business level cloud adoption roadmaps. Interfaces and disseminates necessary information to appropriate internal & external organizations and audiences. This position is responsible for the overall evaluation of cloud integration on behalf of GSS in conjunction with the RTX Cloud and Enterprise ISSMs. Duties include: Collaborates with GSS functions, Digital Technology (DT), Enterprise Services (ES), platform/application subject matter experts and third-party vendors to deploy classified cloud environments. Maintains alignment with DT/ES for the proposal of new systems, tools, applications, services, platforms, or devices to ensure spill procedures are in place prior to deployment. Primary liaison to the Cloud Service Providers (CSP); administration; usage and overall system integrity. Leads the GSS Cloud Architecture Review Board and Change Control Board. Coordinates with various internal and external stakeholders to include industrial security, cybersecurity, executive leaders, and program managers/directors. Responsibilities to Anticipate: Applying CORE (process improvement) principles, explore solutions for automation and efficiency to reduce response time. Interfaces with internal and external Security personnel, customers, management, and U.S. Government representatives Perform other duties as assigned by the cybersecurity leadership team. Basic Qualifications: Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience Experience conducting security investigations within classified environments. Working with suppliers of applications and devices to understand their technology and the possible risks associated with it. Project, program management, or account management Experience with the DAAPM, JSIG, ICD-503, CNSS 1253 and other security doctrine Past responsibility leading direct reports and/or experience managing and mentoring teams. You must currently possess DoD 8140 IAM level III certified credentials (CISM, CISSO, FITSP-D, GCIA, GCSA, GCLD, GDSA, GICSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP) Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizen are eligible for a security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of government policy and procedures for DODAF, TOGAF, or other government recognized architecture frameworks. Managing a team of security and DT members involved in classified commercial cloud integration. Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google, and Oracle C2E IL-4/5/6 environments Experience with DevSecOps practices to include the use of Cross Domain Solution as well as automating security into CI|CD Pipelines. Experience in the oversight and execution of the Assessment & Authorization processes, as defined in JSIG/RMF Experience with the DAAPM, JSIG, ICD-503, CNSS 1253 and other security doctrine Experience with DISA STIGs & SRGs, CIS Benchmarks, MITRE ATT&CK framework Experience in the execution and management of Information System’s (IS) incident response and administrative inquiries/investigations in collaboration with the Investigations organization. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
