Contribute to the architecture, design, planning and implementation of the cloud infrastructure of modern web SaaS applications. Follow company security protocols to ensure system and data security. Manage and improve cloud infrastructure functionality, performance, reliability, and scalability. Create, troubleshoot and monitor cloud environments to meet high availability and uptime SLA. Automate software deployments, configuration and upkeep. Responsible for deploying builds to multiple environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architectural decisions with project goals. Work with the technology stack to deliver efficient and reliable applications. Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new technologies when applicable. Plan, prioritize and estimate incoming work. Assist in mentoring and providing guidance to junior team members. Work with technical support to provide speedy resolution for escalated support tickets. Ability to travel to North Carolina periodically (once travel restrictions are lifted) Experience:

Expert experience administering and managing resources in the Google Cloud Platform cloud environment Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines Experience doing discovery, use case analysis, and communication with key stakeholders. Ability to establish guidelines, best practices, processes, and governance Ability to work in a remote team environment, under tight deadlines. Strong problem solving and solution development skills.

Qualifications:

Minimum 7-10+ years managing Google cloud environments. Minimum 5+ years infrastructure experience: Terraform, Cloud Run, Cloud Flare, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, etc. Expert in Linux server management and commands. Excellent scripting skills in Bash or Python. Significant experience managing production, QA and UAT infrastructure in cloud services. Professional experience with Data Dog, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Maven, etc. Expert experience working with a relational database, preferably PostGres and Cloud SQL. Experience with GitHub or other code repositories. Experience developing and consuming REST APIs. Experience building infrastructure to support microservices, message queues and container orchestration. Experience managing Windows Server environments. BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field. Advanced technical degree and/or related training a plus. Strong interpersonal skills: able to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside of department. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills. Strong ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and tact. Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. Bonus Points:

Managed cloud infrastructure in a HIPAA compliant environment. Master’s degree in a relevant technical field Live on the East coast (preferably in Charlotte, North Carolina area)
