Compensation Consultant, Pay Equity and Pay Transparency(Remote-US) From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. The compensation consultant – pay equity & pay transparency will partner closely with Compensation, Human Resources, Inclusion and Diversity, Legal, ESG and data teams to lead, design and manage pay equity and pay transparency strategies and processes. As Compensation Consultant, Pay Equity and Pay Transparency, you will: Serve as the pay equity subject matter expert. Provide pay equity guidance and thought leadership, in addition to managing pay equity processes and projects. Create and manage the global pay equity strategy to ensure compliance with internal goals and publicly stated commitments. Lead U.S. pay equity analyses annually, partnering closely with inclusion and diversity, data analytics, compensation, and pay equity vendor. Serve as the primary point of contact for the pay equity vendor. Regularly partner and consult with internal stakeholders across the globe including, Compensation, Human Resources, Legal, data analysts and the ESG team regarding pay equity strategy. Create pay equity project plans, processes, decks, documents, and communication methods. Drive the global pay equity strategy. Develop standards, guidelines, policies, and practices in partnership with international markets. Collaborate with global HR teams and the pay equity vendor as needed, to ensure analyses (reoccurring and ad-hoc) are conducted in a consistent, legal, and timely manner. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to develop the pay equity narrative and metrics for the annual GESI report, proxy, compliance reporting, external surveys, and Starbucks disclosures Partner with data scientists to interpret data needs to and from the pay equity vendor. Educate human resources and leaders at all levels on pay equity processes and strategies. Discover and document legally required pay equity requirements per applicable country. Create and present decks related to pay equity strategies and processes. Help remediate pay equity internal audit findings and avoid future findings. Advance Starbucks pay equity, ensuring our practices and programs stay current with the changing landscape. Create internal pay equity tool(s). Introduce new metrics and reports and/or enhance existing metrics and reports. Lead Pay Transparency including, but not limited to, strategy, roadmap, education, program effectiveness, and system implications. Outline the future of Pay Transparency at Starbucks, ensure alignment across stakeholders. Drive Compensation education strategy, delivery roadmap, and resources for our partners, managers, and PRO. Own Leadership Bonus Plan information session, provide inputs into the Plan Doc and support communications as needed. Define Total Pay and Total Rewards Effectiveness, identify and measure metrics around program health. Innovate and drive new tools and resources in support of pay transparency Support Rewards Planning and other projects/programs as needed We Would Love To Hear From People Who Have Bachelor’s degree, plus 3+ years’ experience leading pay equity 5+ years managing projects from beginning to end in a large organization 3+ years of experience in compensation. Knowledge of compensation terms and philosophies. Knowledge of US pay equity standards and best practices. Knowledge of global pay practices are a plus. High attention to detail, responsiveness and dependability is required. Ability to communicate with diverse audiences at all levels of the organization, delivering presentations and influencing leaders. Experience working with employees in multiple countries. Knowledge of cultural norms and sensitivities. Ability to navigate and problem solve with high degrees of ambiguity to deliver large and complex projects. The ability to build and maintain positive working relationships. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
