SUMMARY This position supports the Environmental Services program areas through the development of business improvement processes, primarily through data analytics and reporting that informs decision making for Ryder and our customers, as well as through the development, documentation, and testing of business process changes and system enhancements stemming from the Engineering and Continuous Improvement efforts for Ryder organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Undertakes advanced data analysis projects to support the myriad Environmental Services programs, including greenhouse gas emissions and regulatory reporting Build and maintain data management programs, including identifying data gaps and opportunities to incorporate data into existing programs Communicate findings to internal and external parties to facilitate decision making Participate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) between Environmental Services, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, and IT departments, for the purpose of determining changes needed in business process. Interact with IT and Engineering to develop new system strategies and work flows Maintain existing databases and monitor use of other environmental-related dashboards and systems across the company Support the development, tracking, and achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and metrics Design and implement changes to support division and corporate objectives pertaining to operations. Participate on Kaizen and Six Sigma teams as required for cross-functional representation. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Review and report on performance against operational objectives and support success factors Provide input, guidance, and technical knowledge on proposed process changes, and Continuous Improvement initiatives. Participate in the process of identifying operational improvement opportunities Identify best practices & opportunities for improvement to adopt changes in business process/systems that improve cost, quality, & productivity at all levels Other data and Excel-related projects, such as creating forms and modeling Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree Related field. EXPERIENCE Five (5) years or more experience SKILLS Strong technical data analysis skills and ability to manage and process large and complex data sets Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including programming, charting, and form development Receptive to change – Change Agent Effective leadership skills. Demonstrates analytical skills. Excellent organizational skills. Priority and planning skills Ability to work cross functionally in order to achieve desired results Project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects to timeliness Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially when communicating complex data topics to laypersons Reporting skills and ability to create customized reports for environmental and regulatory compliance Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors). Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment. Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
