Cost Engineer

Role: You will be responsible for the evaluation, analysis, and optimization of product and manufacturing costs. Your tasks will include cost calculation, supporting purchasing in sourcing and negotiation, identifying cost drivers, and implementing, maintaining, and developing calculation software and models. You will also provide cross-functional support in cost activities, including moderating workshops. Principal Activities:
Cost calculation for products and components Establishing know-how in cost calculation Supporting purchasing and development/engineering in costing activities Developing and maintaining tools/software for cost calculation
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics or finance (candidates still completing their university correspondence education are also welcome to apply) 5+ years of experience in cost engineering or a related field Good knowledge of manufacturing technologies for components and sub-assemblies Strong communication, team-oriented, analytical skills, moderation, and negotiation Proficiency in MS-Office, SAP, and other IT applications Advanced knowledge of English, both written and spoken Experience with cost estimating software and tools
