Position Summary:
The Data Analyst role will support the Research and Safety Division’s (RSD) Managed Services business unit in delivering meaningful and actionable insights to drive business decisions. The candidate will be responsible for developing tools to empower and improve decision making for key team members and customers. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge and practical experience working with large data sets, as well as proven communication and collaboration skills to work successfully with other teams. This highly visible role requires an understanding of data analytics, business intelligence, and commercial management and the capability to summarize and present insights to a broad range of audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop data analytics and models to drive better decision-making, by collaborating with Division Operations, Commercial and Finance teams
- Build dashboards and reports to measure key trends, enabling business leaders to quickly diagnose funnel health and commercial execution, and producing insights for commercial
- Build use cases and develop mock-ups. Leverage business iterations to refine models and tools. Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), demos, and provide regular training for tools and dashboards, and lead post-launch improvements and BU teams to assess opportunities and risks and take actions
- Analyze data quality, accuracy, and overall readiness.
- Develop solutions to empower commercial teams to identify new leads, cross-selling opportunities, market trend shifts
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends and improve insights and recommendations
- Experiment with predictive modeling and machine learning, partnering with Data Science and Analytics teams, to improve forecast accuracy and better advise commercial strategy, resource deployment, and supply/demand planning
- Proactively identify business problems and areas of opportunities; translate and communicate business needs into quantitative analyses that enable business to uncover patterns and insights
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- BS or MS Degree in math, statistics, computer science, data science or related
- Minimum 3+ years of work experience in data analytics, digital enablement, or related field
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience of building data models
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL/ Python/ R, Power BI
- Strong presentation skills and ability to articulate sophisticated data models and business problems
- Ability to work across a matrix org structure and influence business partners
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to drive actions to completion with intensity and ownership
- Passionate about learning business and data analytics/ science
- Ability to travel (~10%)

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Pittsburgh, PA is $92,000.
