PC#: TBD ABOUT THE POSITION: To support the strategic goals of the organization through the expert data analysis, design, and management of the data infrastructure. The data architect is responsible for data models, data types, data integrations, and data classifications that support the application layer and align with business requirements. To integrate available data pipelines, HIE and other data sources to create quality reporting tools, dashboards, and reports to meet the needs of the organization. By : Developing and implementing an overall organizational data strategy that is in line with business needs. Collaborate with other key roles such as Data Analysts, Integration Developers, BI Developers to build data framework, address challenges and reach agreed solutions. Leverage knowledge of data modeling best practices along with cross industry data expertise and data modeling tool expertise in the creation of conceptual, logical & physical data model designs. Provide governance oversight to ensure data models meet security standards. Review, refine and report on the performance of data management systems. Managing and guiding a team in development of complex data DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Leverage knowledge of data architecture and data modeling best practices along with cross industry expertise in designing and maintaining data structures. Design and develop Databases, Data Warehouses and Multidimensional Databases with attention to performance and scalability. Assist to define end use of data, development, testing and maintenance. Work closely with other key roles to design logical and physical data models to meet business needs. Facilitate HIE, data exchange & data integration (ETL) from multiple different types of sources. Manage the Information Systems Team in delivery of quality data tools and support. Provide analysis services for business data needs and make recommendations for viable solutions. Oversight of enhancement, integration, quality, and availability of data throughout the organization. Assist to develop strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of data handling solutions. Troubleshoots data issues, validates result sets, recommends, and implements process improvements. Manages and monitors database backup procedures and works closely with IT Team to ensure optimal backup and recovery. Participates in staff meetings, supervision, training, and other meetings as assigned. Additional duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS : Education: BS in Computer Science or related course of study Skills: Exceptional communications skills, ability to effectively communicate complex and technical information to non-technical audiences. Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to evaluate existing data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies. Ability to work with Business Analysts, Data Architects, Software developers & DBAs to achieve project objectives – delivery dates, cost objectives, quality objectives, business customer satisfaction objectives, etc. Experience: 10 years’ experience data modeling and performing back-end development in a MS SQL Server environment. Demonstrable experience in developing and maintaining relational & dimensional data models, as well as the associated physical databases.
