JOB OVERVIEW We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Data Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data architecture, ETL processes, and database technologies. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design appropriate solutions. Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data into data warehouses or other storage systems. Design and implement scalable and efficient data models for analytics and reporting purposes. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integrity, quality, and performance. Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance data infrastructure and processes. Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance on data-related projects. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Minimum 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases, experience with database systems (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.). Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, or Spark. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services. Experience with various data sources, standardized and non-standardized datasets such as EHR, MDS, OASIS, and claims. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with ETL/ELT data pipeline orchestration tools (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, AirFlow etc.). Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks. Experience with creating efficient PowerBI datasets and dashboards is a plus. Certification in relevant technologies or platforms. INTERACTION This role will work closely with key departmental and project stakeholders across the organization. Therefore, the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of management and staff within the organization is a key priority in this role. No supervisory responsibilities required for this position. COMMUNICATION AND COGNITIVE ABILITIES Cooperate with matrixed team members to meet goals or complete tasks. Must be comfortable working in ambiguous and/or stressful situations. Must be self-motivated and know when to seek guidance; detail-orientation is a must.
