Description Position Overview: The Data Governance Platform Administrator is part of the Enterprise Digital Intelligence (Edi) team and is responsible for administrating Data Governance Platform and on-going adoption of our data governance framework. This role plays a crucial role in ensuring the Affinity Plus data is well-managed, governed, and utilized effectively to support business objectives while adhering to data regulations and compliance standards. In additions, the Data Governance Platform Administrator’s primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the setup, configuration and maintenance of the Ataccama Data Governance platform within Affinity Plus. This role will partner with data engineers, business owners, data stewards, technical stewards and IT teams to ensure the platform is up and running, access to the platform, rules configurations to ensure uniformity, accuracy, stewardship, consistency and accountability of the organization’s data assets. Duties and Responsibilities: Configure and customize the Ataccama Data Governance solution to align with the organization’s data governance requirements and policies Collaborate with data stewards and business stakeholders to define and follow data governance rules, policies, and standards Collaborate with business stakeholders to define enterprise and business specific rules to be applied to Databricks data pipelines Ensure data quality, security, and compliance by monitoring data access, usage, and following all organizational policies and standards Manage user access and permissions within the Ataccama Data Governance platform to maintain data privacy and security. Coordinate regular audits and assessments to identify data governance issues and recommend improvements. Assist in data lineage and metadata management to establish a clear understanding of data flow and data relationships. Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use the Ataccama Data Governance platform. Log critical information from the application in the organizational system Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the platform’s functionality and integration with other systems. Setup and Install Data Governance platform software, patches and upgrades specific to Tool (Ataccama). Coordinate with the IT Systems, Data owners, Data Stewards, Data Engineers and Data Governance consumers for infrastructure patches, upgrades, and installations. Establish performance monitoring and alerting for EDI systems to ensure string uptime and user experience. Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and updates in the Ataccama Data Governance tool. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration with other data management and analytics solutions. Follow organizational change management policies and procedures to document system changes, gaining approval, communicating change to the organization appropriately and having understanding of effects on other systems and end users. Collaborate with data governance business owners, data governance program coordinator, data owners, and data engineers on processes & policies. Analyze, document and test disaster recovery and failover for Ataccama according to organizational BIA and in coordination with overall BCP/DR test requirements. Knowledge share with data owners & stewards to increase understanding of data governance. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills: 1+ years of experience working with a Data Governance Platforms (Ataccama) 1+ years of experience in administrating and implementing data governance technology solutions that span data quality, rules engines, data dictionary, & business glossaries, data standards and policies; data lineage and catalogs, cloud data platforms, responsible AI and ML Ops processes Intermediate understanding of data governance operating model that includes designing a data governance organization, roles and responsibilities, success metrics Prior experience assisting in impleme tation of enterprise data concepts such as Master Data Management and Enterprise Data Warehouse Understanding of one or more compliance areas is a big plus – FFIEC, NCUA, CCPA, GDPR, data privacy and security standards Highly organized and able to prioritize and process multiple complex projects; deadlines; and processes with attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical abilities; both technical and functional – Ability to deal with complex functional specifications and determine how to best implement them technically Strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of individuals Preferred Qualifications and Skills: Experience with Azure DevOps or AWS Experience with Ataccama Data Governance. Knowledge with Databricks Platforms. Knowledge with Splunk for alerting and monitoring. Knowledge of or interest in data science & machine learning Experience with backend infrastructure and how to architect data pipelines Experience with data warehouses & cloud technologies Workplace Environment: Sitting 90-95% and standing 5-10% which is determined on your rotation. Working at a computer 98% of the day, utilizing the phone 10-20% Bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, or crouching when appropriate, on occasion Repetitive movements, including but not limited to typing, using a mouse, phones, etc. Lift, carry, push or pull up to approximately 30 pounds Requires onsite presence based on coordination of work with other employees and/or departments. May require travel to attend on-site meetings/events for collaboration, connection, project work, All-Employee Day, etc. Required Work Schedule: Standard Monday through Friday business hours with a willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed. May be required to provide 24/7 on-call support. Consistent and reliable attendance is a required essential function of this role to meet the needs of the department/team and organization. This position has the ability to be based remotely, with onsite presence required in St. Paul, MN approximately 6-8 times/year.
