We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated  Decision Scientist  to join our rapidly growing team.  

What you will do: 

  • Scope, create, and implement mathematical models (math programming, optimization or simulation) that would meet client’s business needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upskill and build efficient analytics solutions 
  • Communicate technical concepts, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive decision-making (in a professional manner) 

Core Qualifications: 

  • MS/PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or other STEM-related field 
  • Strong theoretical knowledge of optimization techniques, including linear programming and integer programming 
  • Practical experience with open-source solvers and commercial solvers, such as Gurobi, CPLEX or XPRESS 
  • Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, and/or proficiency in an optimization platform, AIMMS/AMPL/GAMS/Pyomo 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

Preferred qualifications:  

  • 2+ years of industry experience (with relevant domain knowledge) applying mathematical programming in manufacturing or supply chain settings (e.g. scheduling application, network optimization, routing optimization) 
  • Experience with discrete-event simulation methods and software tools such as Simio, Arena or open-source tools such as Simpy 
  • Working knowledge of statistics and machine learning techniques 
  • Experience with software development and is excited about developing applications that can be leveraged in business decision-making
  • Proficient in a BI/visualization tool
  • Passion for engaging cross-functional teams to drive innovation and develop/showcase novel applications

This position is fully-remote within the continental US; however, Atlanta-based applicants will have the opportunity to work in our new headquarters in Sandy Springs, GA.
