Job Summary: Avenu|STR is a SaaS product that provides full-service short-term rental monitoring, compliance, and administration for municipalities. Avenu is hiring a DevOps Engineer to automate and streamline the end-to-end practices, from code development to delivering the features/changes, to users in production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, system administration, and automation. Duties and Responsibilities: Performs in a hybrid of development and operations. Responsible for implementing automation for development and deployment pipelines. This includes the critical responsibilities for developing Infrastructure as Code that enables immutable infrastructure, repeatability, and automation of the entire infrastructure for each environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology with an emphasis in software development or another related field. A combination of education and experience may meet the qualifications. 5+ years of experience with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools. 3+ years of cloud engineering experience. 3+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including experience with serverless architectures, containers, and orchestration (Azure is a must). Experience in the State, Local, and Federal markets (nice to have). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Previous involvement in moving application workloads to Azure. DevOps skills associated with Configuration Management, Continuous Integration, Automated Testing, Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Deployment, and Continuous Monitoring. These practices encompass the full end-to-end cycle, from code commit to deployment to operations and maintenance. Proficient in coding or scripting, process reengineering, and collaborating with multiple groups. Well-versed in multiple popular and commonly used operating systems and platforms. Using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solution Architect Professional, or Google Cloud Architect Certification. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual workstation, using telephone and computer Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office The person in this position frequently communicates via telephone Avenu Summary: Avenu provides local governments with ways to achieve more predictable revenue that supports growth, fuels modernization and ensures compliance with mandated but underfunded programs.
